After we landed first thing we went to get some food at unconventional diner.
I Ordered the Shakshooka vegan style (favorite meal the whole trip), Avocado Toast and Oatmeal chia was really good as well.
After that we went visiting the Holocaust museum, it was crazy to watch, my brain wasn’t able to process that, even tho I grew up in Israel and we learnt about it in school it was something that impossible to understand. The worst horror story you will ever see.
50th anniversary for Washington Blade Magazine in Washington DC.
Being there make me think, we are in a way living that all over again, the LGBTQI community are getting murdered just for simply being themselves.
Washington Blade is America’s LGBT news Source, The paper was originally launched as an independent publication in October 1969 with a focus on bringing the community together.
Blade honored Ariadne Getty, with the philanthropist of the year award for all the hard work she does for the LGBTQIA+ community.
The next day we went to visit the Capitol
MUST SEE if you ever visit in DC. I didn’t know much about the US history but it was very beautiful to watch and hear all the stories.
Dinner We went to Zaytinya. Not a vegan restaurant But they were able to make us some vegan options, It’s a tapas style restaurant.
Next day we’re we’re supposed to go see monuments but it was raining all day So we enjoyed the hotel, great gym very nice Indoor pool and spa area .For lunch we went to Old Ebbitt grill they had a vegan burgers options the Lentil burger was so good.
At night we went to Fiola mare Italian restaurant very beautiful and they made us some vegan options.I know it’s harder to be vegan but it’s not impossible just ask what can they make for you or what’s the vegan options they have.
On Sunday we went to the Washington cemetery and we saw the LGBT area and after that we went to see the White House and the monuments, it was so beautiful noting you can explain till u see it in your own eyes.
Thank you Washington till the next time
